- We are seeking a Field Engineer for our organic polymers in the agricultural sector. Our company produces these polymers from organic waste, like fruit and vegetable residue. The engineer will be instrumental in determining the optimal applications of these polymers, conducting experiments to enhance crop yield.
Responsibilities include field engineering, product development, transitioning products to manufacturing, establishing evaluation methods, supporting sales, and customer relations. The candidate will also be involved in training farmers on the use of organic polymers. Our start-up environment may require additional tasks, given our non-differentiated responsibilities.
We are currently conducting pilot tests in Okinawa and Awaji Island, Japan, and internationally, including a substantial project in India involving 500+ farmers across 10 districts covering over 200 acres.
Our EF Polymer, when mixed into the root zone of plants, can retain water for 10-20 days, enabling stable - 募集背景

-Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture/Biosciences. However， practical knowledge and experience are more important than academic major.
- Experience in field engineering and supporting agriculture with materials， products， and services.

Seeking candidates with research experience in academic institutions related to Agriculture， Microbiology， Soil Science， or Environmental Science. Field engineering experience in agricultural material manufacturers (such as fertilizers and composts) is desirable.

・同社はOIST（沖縄先端技術大学院大学）に在籍するインド人研究者が立ち上げたスタートアップで、ポリマーを活用した水不足地域における農業生産性の向上を狙い、同社のポリマーを植物の根の部分の土壌に混ぜることで、根の周辺に10から20日間にわたり水を保持することが可能となります。砂漠や雨量の少ない地域でも、農作物を安定的に供給できるようになります。
今日、世界中で水不足や、増え続ける生ゴミ処分の問題が深刻化しています。EFポリマーは、この生ゴミに着目し、これを資源と見立てることにより、有機ポリマー製品を開発しました。このポリマーは、柑橘系の果物やバナナの皮、サトウキビのバガスなどの有機性廃棄物から開発されています。自重の80～100倍の水を保持することができ、土壌に投入すると、土壌の保水力と肥料保持力が高まり、結果、約40％の節水と約20％の肥料削減が期待できます。また、このポリマーは有機物100％のため、約6か月で土の中で完全生分解されます。
